Anyone know a university graduate with high debt and low job prospects? Only one? You probably know many.
There are millions in Canada and around the world. How did we get to the situation where university education is so expensive and useless at the same time?
How did we allow an education industrial complex to emerge, making post-secondary education a business benefiting not the students, but education executives, administrators, tenured professors and those who sell products and services into this system?
How did we get to the point where highly paid professors do not teach, but leave that to poorly paid precarious workers? How do we blow up this corrupt and ineffective scam? In this course we will debate how serious a problem this is and what can be done to fix it.
