In 2008 no one was held accountable for the one trillion taxpayers’ dollars that were paid out to the richest men in the world for a crisis they created.
In 2020 can we hold governments accountable for breaching their duty to provide personal protective equipment to the healthcare workers and vulnerable citizens who have died?
Governments knew what was needed, healthcare workers knew what was needed. Taxpayers could only think that what was needed would be available, they had legislated for it in the Canada Health Act and they had paid for expert warnings after SARS.
