Do Public-Private Partnerships Make Sense? COURSE FULL
WAITING LIST (see below under Booking)
Sorry to let the cat out of the bag so early, but in the opinion of many the answer is “no” or rather “hell, no!” They see PPPs as a massive fraud perpetrated by corporations on gullible or corrupt governments. In this course we will look in depth at how PPPs work, the purposes for which they
are used, why they are so popular and how they have often resulted in either outright failure or a hidden tax on the public. How did we get to this? Find out and be prepared to take up a pitchfork, or maybe not. Of course we may decide that all is OK with PPPs. All opinions are welcome
Moderator: John Simke (see biography)
Maximum Number of Spots: 25
Dates and Time: Tuesdays, May 19 and 26 (2 weeks) from 2 to 4 PM
Location: OISE Building 252 Bloor Street West, Room TBD
Cost: $15.00
