Course full. To go onto the waiting list, please click here
In the 21st Century, we face many risks – climate change could radically alter our way of life, but there is also the potential for pandemics, financial meltdown and large-scale terrorism. Of course, we hope none of these happens but as they say, hope for the best, and plan for the worst. Unfortunately, you cannot always prevent bad stuff from happening, so those societies that are resilient will do best in bad situations. What does “resilience” mean and how do you become resilient? We will explore these questions, with special reference to the role of governments, civil society, corporations, and our own behaviour and attitudes to get to answers.
